The USAID-funded Market Systems and Resilience Activity (MSR) (2022-2027) is designed to strengthen commercial relationships between market actors, improve rural entrepreneurship ecosystem to enable greater market participation, particularly for women and youth, expand the availability of agri Services, and link targeted policy initiatives to improved local economic governance in 17 districts across the USAID-specified Zone of Interest (ZOI) in Northern Ghana. The MSR Activity focuses particularly on micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSME’s) in a number of agricultural value chains: cereals (maize); legumes (soybeans, cowpea, peanut, Bambara beans); tree crops (shea, mango); horticulture (vegetables).
MBC Africa is a key partner of ACDI VOCA Ghana in the implementation of the Feed the Future Ghana Market Systems and Resilience (MSR) Activity in four regions of Northern Ghana.
The project has four main objectives.
Increase commercialization and profitability of agriculture producers.
Increase the institutional capacity of market actors.
Improve market access and quality of business services.
Improve the enabling environment for local actors and investors.
MBC Africa works under objective 2 of MSR Project with role to identify, build capacities and sustainable business development models for SMEs on targeted agriculture value chains.
