The Desert Skills Programme is a 3-month programme to train women and youth to develop skills in web development. This training emerged as a result of the rising numbers of businesses in the Bolgatanga Ecosystem.

Objectives:
1. To develop needed skills in web development (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) for job creation
2. To create simple websites for businesses in the bolgatanga ecosystem
3. To make use the Content Marketing System (CMS, WordPress) to easily create web platforms
The overall aim of this programme is to provide for the youth of the Bolgatanga Ecosystem the skills to create their various startups

Describe the format of your programme.:

The programme works through in-person and virtual lessons at the Dansyn ISO Hub.

The training mainly covered the following:
1. Skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
2. Apply the above technical skills to creating websites using WordPress, a Content Management System (CMS)
3. Undergo undergo an entrepreneur journey and choose innovate ideas
4. Apply the skills learned to curate web solutions to mitigate them

The participants involved fall within the age range of 18–35. The sole aim of the programme is to equip youth with skills and innovative ideas to solve real-time problems, and by so doing, they create jobs.
